Context

A few years ago, Iflexion won a tender for developing an online Oil and Gas Magazine for Eurasia Press, Inc. The Customer had already had an online version, which was outdated and needed a replacement to it.

The Customer is a prominent online periodical dedicated to events in gas and oil industry of European and Asian continents. Being updated every day, the magazine processes huge amount of information.

Solution

The magazine is a scalable bilingual web application for online publishing of the ‘Oil and Gas Eurasia’ magazine. It has several functional modules for content management, such as news, press release, newsletter management, interviews, partners, and many others.

Besides these modules, the site supports glossary search and text search in news and articles. It is integrated with a PHPBB forum for commenting possibility. Iflexion created an entirely new web solution from scratch.

Powerful and Secure Backend

The solution has an advanced Content Management System (CMS) that allows adding, editing and deleting content. It consists of several modules. Some of them allow managing all editorial and publishing activities (Issues and Articles Module, News Module, Press Releases Module, Featured Interviews Module, Newsletters Module for Groups).

Other modules are responsible for communication with partners and readers (Partners List Module, Ongoing Projects Module, Industry Players Module, Events Module, Surveys Module, Orders and Subscriptions Module). 

Some supporting modules include:

  • Client Module enables information management for clients (contacts, addresses, notes) and administrators (available sections, login data, contacts).
  • Recruitment Module allows the administrator to manage vacancies, resumes and recruitment articles. This module also allows moderation of submitted vacancies and resumes.
  • Banners Module is a global system for banner management with additional functionality: click and banner payment statistics.
